John Sullivan

John first began weight training as a way to improve his strength for wrestling and martial arts. As his interest in training for sports performance increased, he began competing in powerlifting and strongman competitions. Since he started competing in 2002, John has qualified for the North American Strongman National Championships four times (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), placing 5th in his class in 2004, 2nd in his class in 2005 and currently preparing for 2006.

Constantly seeking new and unique training strategies, John credits much of his success in strongman to intelligently designed training programs. His diverse techniques, borrowed from Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting and track & field training, has enabled him to effectively prepare for the unusual demands of strongman competitions.

Over the past decade he has integrated countless nutritional and physical conditioning programs for a wide range of clientele ranging from high level athletes to general fitness buffs. John utilizes a unique approach of theoretical knowledge mixed with practical experience drawn from years of martial arts, weight training and competitive sports. In addition to his "in the trenches" experience, he is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach and a PCIP Level 1 Certified Coach.

In this time he has gained invaluable insight into maximizing the body’s potential to become stronger and more explosive. Matt’s extensive knowledge of the Olympic lifts can help anyone, from athletes to competitive weightlifters, reach new levels of performance.

Dave Coffin

Dave received a B.S. degree in Exercise Science with a focus in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts.  He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  Prior to graduation from Umass, Dave completed his strength and conditioning internship at Boston University, where he assisted with the training of Division I athletes in sports such as wrestling, tennis, soccer, basketball, ice hockey, softball, etc.

In addition to his academic background, Dave has been lifting weights as a means to prepare for sports since his freshman year of high school.  A four year varsity wrestler, Dave was ranked 2nd in the state as a junior and since then has continued coaching and training wrestlers from local area high schools.  It is his experience in the sport of wrestling that has taught him the work ethic and dedication necessary to succeed.  With a no non-sense but thoughtful approach to training, Dave is able to draw from his own experiences to motivate athletes and clients.

Tom Reavis

Tom has been training in martial arts for close to 30 years.  He has trained with some of the countries best instructors in Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Uechi Ryu Karate, Wu Shu, and San Shou.  The son of a boxer, he has dabbled in the “sweet science” his entire life and was a division 1 wrestler.  Tom believes everyone can benefit from martial arts/self defense training, whether you want a different way to work out, are looking to build self-confidence or want to be the next MMA champion; this is training that all can enjoy.
